The area of Waterton is known as the wildflower capital of the country, and the photos do a perfect job of confirming that status. 

Waterton Lakes is three hours away from Calgary, situated in the southern part of the province. Due to the compact area and the shift in elevation, the lakeside surface is able to grow over 1000 plant species, according to their tourism site, MyWaterton
