"The Witcher" On Netflix Canada Is Every Bit As Good As Fans Hoped It Would Be

December is a busy month for people everywhere, but that doesn't mean that there's no time for rest, relaxation, and Netflix in there. This month has been a pretty big one in terms of new releases, and most recently, The Witcher on Netflix Canada is receiving great reviews.
If you've missed the buzz about the show so far, the new original series is based on a book series by Andrzej Sapkowski, which was later adapted into a video game series that subsequently lead to the franchise's population in North America.
The Witcher tells the story of Geralt of Rivia (played by Henry Cavill), a very handsome "mutant" who's been specially bred to hunt down and kill monsters in a medieval world.
If you need to compare it to something, the Netflix series is like if Game of Thrones met Marvel — there's plenty of fighting, action, magic, and of course, humour.
The streaming service announced the series earlier this summer, and after months of waiting, it finally landed on Netflix today.
Usually, the app waits to see how a show fairs amongst audiences before renewing it for a second season, but it was confirmed that season two of The Witcher is coming before the first season was even released.
Luckily for Netflix, Geralt's adventures have been a big hit so far.
"After 3 episodes The Witcher on Netflix is everything I thought it would be and more. It's amazing and a must-watch," one user commented.
"I take back all the bad tweets I did about The Witcher.... Henry Cavill is killing this role @witchernetflix," tweeted another viewer.

Another big Netflix release coming this month is season two of the hit series You, which will hit the streaming service on Thursday, December 26.
All eight episodes of The Witcher's first season are currently available for streaming. You can check out the trailer for the fantasy novel turned TV series below.
