In our minds, if you could put together a bar, coffee shop, bakery and sandwich shop in one, you would have the perfect eatery. Lucky for us, this place does exist, you just have to find it. Find this sophisticated sweet house located in Savannah, Georgia and be mesmerized by the rose gold and sweet smells of this joint.
Shuga Girl Sweet House is every girl's dream. While this place is located right off of the popular Broughton Street, it is hidden on a side street that you might not have ever gone down. The first thing that will catch your eye is the neon sign in the window that says, "Sweet Girls Deserve Everything" (because, truth).
You will walk in and be transported back in time, hearing songs like "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac and see vintage coffee machines behind the counter. Here you will get homemade pastries, designer espressos, and daiquiris and cocktails.
You can smell the sweetness from the street which will just lead you right in. You can order fresh crepes with options like Nutella Banana, Creme Brûlée and Ham and Cheese. Other delicious treat options include croissants and paninis.
If you are a coffee snob, this will become the holy grail for you, but don't blame us for spending all your money here. You will find the basic coffees like cold brew, mochas and lattes, but there are specialty drinks as well. They can make Biscotti Lattes, Matcha Lattes and even Iced Thai Tea.
As the sun goes down and you need an afternoon pick-me-up drink, Shuga Girl has a full bar that you can order from, with a pretty impressive drink menu. A couple local faves are the "Chanel No. 5" (prosecco, diced strawberries, coconut cream, honey, lime juice) and the "Girly Glam" (cotton candy pink champagne).
If you are feeling really boujee and feeling yourself for the day, you have to order the gold-dusted cotton candy prosecco. You will get a full glass of prosecco with hand-made cotton candy on top, covered in gold dust.
If you like to keep things simple, get a frosé or a daiquiri to cool off (because walking around Savannah is no joke).
