There Were Only Two Canadian Models Walking In This Years Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, Here's Who They Are

Did you have the pleasure of watching the 2018 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show last night? If you did, then you would have seen multiple artists such as Halsey, Shawn Mendes, and Rita Ora hit the stage, as well as models such as Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, and sister Bella Hadid. Unfortunately, this was the last year that Adriana Lima was walking in, which is heartbreaking in itself. I mean, she's the OG!

Maybe you've watched every single year, maybe this was your first year watching. And if so, there were a lot of things that didn't go right. The opening was... a little far from exciting. There didn't seem to be a lot of new faces, but fortunately for us, there were two stunning Canadian models walking in the show and making us proud! Who were they? Well, keep reading!

Winnie Harlow

Winnie Harlow is an up-and-coming model who was born and raised in Toronto. She actually got her start after Tyra Banks found her via Instagram, and was a contestant on America's Next Top Model. She unfortunately didn't win, but she rose to fame as she is one of the only models who is currently modelling with a skin condition called Vitiligo. Vitiligo is a condition where the loss of skin colour is prominent, and it can range from white patches on the skin to depigmentation.

Winnie has overcome a lot with this skin condition, especially since she had to change schools a ton of times to avoid bullying, which she has said made her contemplate suicide. Now, she is one of the most sought after models and got her dream of walking in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

Herieth Paul

Herieth Paul is not a stranger to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. While it's Winnie Harlow's first year on walking the famous runway, Herieth Paul actually walked for a third time. Her first time was in 2016, and she has come such a long way! Can you guess where she is from? Well, she's from the country's capital Ottawa!

Herieth was born in Tanzania, but she moved to Ottawa when she was 14 years old and was actually discovered at an open casting call for an Ottawa based agency. She is now a well known model who has modeled for Teen Vogue, Vogue Italia, and has walked tons and tons of runway shows. She is definitely making Ottawa proud!
