These Are The Newest Movies On Netflix Canada So You Don’t Have To Spend Hours Looking

We all know the struggle - after spending hours searching through the endless titles on Netflix, you give up and finally just binge watch The Office for the 18th time. While I'll probably never get tired of that show, I will admit that I would like to venture out and watch other things from time to time. Making Netflix decisions can be hard, but that's why we created a list of the newest movies on Netflix Canada so you don't have to spend hours looking!

From feel-good comedies and family favourites to psychological thrillers and sci-fi adventures, we've got something for everyone! Skip the scrolling and check out one of these awesome movies ASAP:

Every Day

Type: Romance

If you've seen the movie The Time Traveller's Wife, this new movie follows a similar storyline. It's based on the best selling novel of the same name by David Levithan. It tells the story of a teenager who falls in love with a wandering spirit who hops from body to body on a daily basis. Imagine how hard that must be! If you love the feeling of nostalgia that you often get from teen romance movies, this is perfect for you.

Hajwala 2: Mysterious Mission

Type: Action & Adventure

If you're the kind of person who enjoys movies like Fast and Furious, then you'll love Hajwala 2. It follows a lot of the same ideas as the Fast series but features a Middle Eastern cast (although the movie is in English). In the film, a crew of high-speed racers and drifters are recruited to help out a shadowy gang with some unusual tasks.

Type: Romantic Dramas

Juanita is one of Netflix's newest original movies. It's based on a novel called Dancing on the Edge of the Roof by Sheila Williams and tells the story of a woman who has spent her life mothering three now-grown children. After facing some struggles in love and life, she sets out on a journey to find healing on her way to Paper Moon, Montana.

Walk, Ride, Rodeo

Type: Biographical

If you like movies that provide you with a little inspiration, this should definitely be your next watch. The film tells the story of a young girl who was left paralyzed after a tragic accident, leaving her unable to fulfill her true passion - horseback riding. After hearing her story, a champion rodeo rider vows to get her out of the wheelchair and back on horses to compete again.

Kindergarten Cop

Type: Action & Adventure

If you're in the mood for a little throwback, why not check out Kindergarten Cop? The classic 1990 film has finally made its way onto Netflix, and we can guarantee it'll make you laugh. Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, the film tells the story of a cop who goes undercover as, you guessed it, a kindergarten teacher. During his stint, the cop must protect the son of a drug lord, but he definitely gets more than he bargained for.

Type: Romantic Comedy

Honestly, before I even tell you about the plot of this movie, I think that the cast alone is enough to convince you to watch it. George Clooney, Renee Zellweger, and John Krasinski are just a few of the big names you'll see in Leatherheads. The film is based in the 1920s and is about a woman who finds herself in the middle of a love triangle when an aging American football hero and a rising college star compete for her affections.

Type: Social Issue Dramas

This movie has been described as one of the most horrifying non-horror movies, and even just the trailer alone will give you goosebumps. As the only black person invited to a guys' getaway weekend, Tyler is forced to endure the cringe-worthy behavior that is bro-culture. Overall, the film gives a super unique look at important issues like race relations but makes it incredibly exciting to watch.

Alpha Dog

Type: True Crime

For some strange reason, so many of us love watching true crime stories, and Netflix is known to always have really great crime content. If you're looking for something new to watch, we highly recommend Alpha Dog. The film tells the story of Jesse James Hollywood, who's one of the youngest men ever to appear on the FBI's Most Wanted list.

Type: Action & Adventure

After being forced into becoming a drug mule in Taiwan, a young American finds herself being taken over by miraculous superhuman powers. It turns out the drugs she was carrying have been released in her system, altering her body's chemistry and changing her forever. The film stars Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman, so you know you're in for a good show.

Christopher Robin

Type: Family Movies

Growing up, Winnie the Pooh was always one of my favourite Disney characters. Now that they've made a live action movie that tells the story of Christopher Robin, you better believe I'm going to watch it. The movie tells the story of Christopher Robin as an adult, who once again finds himself on an adventure in the Hundred Acre Woods.

Type: Sci-Fi Thriller

Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Reynolds in one movie? Sold. Life is like most over science fiction movies - it takes place in outer space, and follows the excitement that ensues after some astronauts find a sample from Mars that contains a single-celled organism. The excitement quickly turns into fear though, when the astronauts realize that the organism also displays intelligence.

Type: Psychological Thriller

A lot of you may remember Katherine Heigl from her role as Izzie Stevens on Grey's Anatomy. Izzie fell hopelessly in love with a man, and let's be honest - it turned her pretty crazy. In the movie Unforgettable, Katherine takes on a similar role. As a newly divorced, single mother, she takes it upon herself reak havoc on her ex-husbands new relationship.

Type: Romantic Comedy

On their way from New York to Atlanta, a couple (played by Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd - the two humans on this planet who do NOT age) finds themselves amongst a hippie commune. An introduction to this new, very different lifestyle causes them to contemplate making some major changes in their lives.

You, Me, and Dupree

Type: Comedy

If you're in need of some serious laughs, Netflix is here to provide with You, Me, and Dupree. The film stars Owen Wilson, Kate Hudson, and Matt Dillon. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Randy has to stand in as the best man at his friend's wedding. Shortly afterward, he loses his job, becomes a barfly, and gets a little too close for comfort with the happy newlyweds.

Your Highness

Type: Action Comedy

I watched this movie the other night with zero expectations, and it turned out to be absolutely hilarious. Starring James Franco, Danny McBridge, and Natalie Portman, Your Highness tells the story of two princes who are on a quest to save one brother's fiancee from an evil wizard. They get in plenty of trouble along the way, of course.
