The Haunting of Hill House (92%)

Think you've been scared before? Think again. A family with a lot of demons must face their ghosts from the past again, and it's not pretty. Hill House is not something to mess with. People got so scared watching this that they threw up and passed out - so beware!

The Staircase (93%)

Type: Docuseries

This docuseries will forever be burned in my brain. The Staircase follows Michael Peterson whose wife died by falling down the stairs. The mystery is if he killed her or not. However, there are a little too many things pointing to Michael, including the fact that one of his old friends died that exact same way.

Love (94%)

Type: Rom-com

Love is a Netflix Original that is written by Paul Rudd and directed by Judd Apatow, so you already know it's good. It follows newly single and pretty upset Gus and Mickey, who fall in love in the weirdest circumstances. If you love rom-coms, you'll love Love.

A Series of Unfortunate Events (96%)

Type: Mystery

Three orphans have to figure out what happened to their parents, as it was a mysterious death. Given that they have nowhere else to go, they're forced to stay with a guardian who is just plain rude and evil. The kids have to protect their parent's money, but not on their guardian Count Olaf's watch.

Glow (95%)

Type: Comedy

Glow is set in the 80s, and it follows an actress who finds the perfect job for her at an audition. She then enters the wrestling world, where she'll be working with other people in Hollywood.

Stranger Things (95%)

Type: Science fiction

C'mon, you know what Stranger Things is about. But if you don't, I'll give you a brief synopsis. Stranger Things is about a boy who vanishes after seeing something scary. His friends, family, and police have to do everything in their power to get him back... which means confronting terrifying things.

The Keepers (97%)

Type: Docuseries

The Keepers is not a light show, if that's what you're looking for. It shows the unsolved murder of Sister Cathy, who was a nun and disappeared in 1969. The killer is still unknown, even though her body was found months later. The docuseries takes you through the events of what happened, as well as the abuse coming from the same high school Sister Cathy worked at.

Mindhunter (97%)

Type: Drama

Holden Ford and Bill Tench have very interesting jobs at FBI agents. In Mindhunter, their main job is to catch criminals to figure out how they think. But there is way more to the story than just that.

The End of the F***ing World (98%)

Type: Comedy-drama

The End of the F***ing World is actually based on a book, so you know it's going to be good. James and Alyssa are best friends and both outsiders. Alyssa wants to find her father, who she has no relationship with, so her and James go on a journey and when they finally find him, James comes up with a plan. And it's not a good one.

One Day at a Time (99%)

Type: Comedy

Penelope is a single mom and is raising a Cuban-American family. This is pretty much the ultimate family TV show, just with an amazing Rotten Tomatoes rating. One Day at a Time follows the family as they navigate through everything families do, but just with a ton of jokes.

Alias Grace (99%)

Type: Drama

Alias Grace is a miniseries on Netflix that is based on a book by Margaret Atwood. The story is based in Upper Canada, where a girl named Grace Marks is accused of murder. Set in 1843, she is sentenced to life in prison for the murder. This book/show is based on a true story, which makes it even more chilling.

Dear White People (99%)

Type: Comedy drama

At an Ivy League college, students of colour realize that not everyone thinks the way that they do. They have to navigate the school differently, which makes for a pretty interesting and hilarious experience.

Elite (100%)

Type: Teen drama

What would a teen drama be without murder? Based in Spain, three students show up to a new school which is a pretty elite private school. The students there are mostly wealthy, and because they clash so hard, it ends up in murder.

Dirty Money (100%)

Type: Docuseries

Dirty Money is a docuseries on Netflix that is literally all about money. From greed to money scandals, everyone has money problems. But especially big corporations. Basically, Dirty Money goes behind the scenes of big corporations to show you how people steal money, and not just out of your pocket.

Ugly Delicious (100%)

Type: Reality TV

Ugly Delicious will ultimately make you hungry and jealous. But it's worth it. Chef David Chang brings his friends along to eat plates of food all around the world in order to find the best food.

Big Mouth (100%)

Type: Animation

Andrew, who is the main animated character, is currently going through puberty. And it's really hard. Big Mouth takes you through Andrews life with his best friends Nick and Jessi, and it's really f*cking funny.

Master of None (100%)

Type: Comedy

Master of None is loosely based on Aziz Ansari's life, which makes the show even better. His character, Dev, is an actor and the series takes you back in the day to his childhood and teenage years to show why he is the way he is today. It's truly genius.
