Now that the snow and freezing temperatures have arrived, you might be dreaming of escaping to the Caribbean or Hawaii. Even if you can't afford to fly out of the country to somewhere warm this winter, you can at least feel like you are on a beach getaway. There's a new tropical tiki Christmas pop-up bar in  Calgary and it's the perfect spot to escape the cold.

There is no shortage of incredible holiday events happening Calgary over the next couple of weeks. If you haven't already, you'll want to make sure to add Noel Christmas Market and Zoolight to your holiday bucket list.

We are also thrilled to discover that Calgary will have two Christmas themed pop-up bars. Not only is Miracle On First Street returning this holiday season, but its sister pop-up Sippin' Santa is happening, too.

This year Calgary is lucky to have one of the only three of these cute tiki pop-ups locations in Canada at Ricardo's Hideaway, located at 1530 5th Street SW. The other two events are happening in Ottawa and Toronto.

Unlike Miracle On First Street, which will have vintage Christmas decor, this tropical-inspired bar will be decked out with kitschy Christmas tiki accents. Instead of classic Christmas trees, here you are more likely to see images of surfing Santa or palm trees.

All the drinks at the tiki pop-up will be served in epic Instagrammable glasses from coconuts to a tiki mug of Santa wearing a beach shirt.

Meanwhile the drinks, all have a tropical twist on classic holiday flavours.

One of the most eye-catching drinks is the massive Jingle Bowl. The sharable sized cocktail is a blend of citrus, rum, and spicy gingerbread notes.

Do you want to escape to a tropical oasis right in the city? If so, make sure to head to Sippin' Santa in Calgary which will be open daily from November 28 to the end of December.
