Why You Need To Go: Whether or not you're into bikes, being in Whistler during Cranworkx is exciting. Get a glimpse of the bikers coming down the mountain and you'll feel the adrenaline. Oh, and all of Whistler will be a giant party on the mountain!
Maan Farms Sunflower Festival
When: Friday, Aug. 16 to Sunday, Sept. 1

Why you need to go: Check out opening weekend at the Sunflower Festival at Maan Farms. Baby goats, wine and armfuls of fresh sunflowers await.
Chilliwack Sunflower Festival

Why you need to go: You could get lost inside these giant sunflower fields! With food trucks, fresh flowers and lawn games it's a great place to spend one of the last sunny weekends of summer.
Shipyards Friday Night Market
When: Friday, August 16 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Address: Shipbuilders Plaza, 138 Wallace Mews, North Vancouver
Why you need to go: Fill up on food trucks and watch the sunset in North Vancouver. Catch one of the best views of Vancouver at the Shipyards Market.
The Fair at The PNE

When: Saturday, August 17 - Monday, Sept. 2, open from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m.

Why you need to go: The PNE officially opens this weekend. You have to visit at least once to try all the crazy fair food, people watch, listen to free concerts and see the Super Dogs.
Lululemon Seawheeze Sunset Festival
When: Saturday, August 17 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Address: Brockton Oval, Stanley Park, Vancouver
Why you need to go: Even if you didn't run the Seawheeze half marathon, you can still join in the after-party. Kaskade is headlining the concert and bring your own mat for the yoga classes.
Summer Movie Night: Wayne's World at Bells and Whistles
When: Sunday, August 8 at 9 p.m.

Why you need to go: Grab a burger, beer, shoot hoops and catch Wayne's World at Bells and Whistles in Fraserhood! This community watering hole is a great summer hangout and you can kick back all night watching the movie.
Vancouver’s Biggest Dog Meet Up
