It's almost time for Vancouverites to make their annual trip to the Asian food mecca that is the Richmond Night Market! This place has good eats for everyone but it's especially great for adventurous foodies looking for something new.
In addition to over 500 unique food items up for grabs, there is always live entertainment, music, vendors, fairway games and fun Insta-worthy installations. The market has been going strong since its inception in 2000 and it gets better every year. Make sure you check it out on the opening weekend to be among the first to see what's new this year.
Every year, there are always new and inventive foods making a debut at the festival. Last year, the Instaworthy unicorn floatie churro was a big hit, but so were the blooming onions and mochi-covered strawberries! This is the ultimate place to fill up on Asian street food outside of Asia and you're guaranteed to see food that makes you go "wow!" every single year. There are also dozens of different kinds of bubble tea whether you want to go classic or drink it out of a baby bottle or lit-up lightbulb!
The Richmond Night Market opens for the season on Friday, May 10. They're open from 7 PM until late. It takes place right by Bridgeport Station in Richmond, just 20 mins by train from Vancouver. The price of admission hasn't been determined yet, but it's usually less than $5 per person. Check out their website for more info and for details as they come out!
