Possibly the cutest and most wholesome event ever is coming to Vancouver. For one day only, you can enjoy a puppy playdate in Vancouver equipped with delicious hot pizza all for free. All you have to do is download the Spot Dog Walking app to get in on the fun.  The event takes place on Thursday, Aug. 22 all across the city. Maybe you can even adopt a new best friend by the end of it.

Get ready for a half-hour of pure happiness. The BC SPCA and Spot Dog Walking are teaming up to bring Vancouver one day of “on-demand” rescue puppy playdates.

It’s literally as easy as booking an Uber or watching payper view - just way cuter.

All you have to do is download the Spot Dog Walking app available on iOS and Android. On Thursday, Aug. 22, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. you can have a puppy and pizza on-demand wherever you are!

According to Spot Dog Walking, all you have to do to book your doggy playdate is hit the big “Book Pup Playdate” button on the app’s home screen, enter your location, and wait!

Just a short while later, a puppy and a large pizza will be at your door for a half-hour of uninterrupted puppy playtime!

Oh, and did I mention it's free? There is literally no excuse not to do this!

But this isn’t just a cute date idea or afternoon de-stressor. The event actually comes with a good message.

All the dogs involved are rescues and up for adoption through the BC SPCA. Which means you could find your new fur baby by the end of the event.

"We're really excited to work with the BC SPCA, not only to let people know about the amazing things that they do, but also bring a little bit of joy to people in the middle of the work day," said John Minchin, CEO at Spot.

Spot Dog Walking is all an app that may come in handy once you adopt one of these doggos! Its goal is to provide convenience for dog owners and save time, by linking up dog owners with dog walkers in 90 minutes or less.

The on-demand dog walking app operates in several cities across Canada and donates 10 cents for every 10 minutes walked to local animal rescues and shelters.

So far, they have completed more than 50,000 walks and have raised funds for the Calgary Humane Society and the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society.

Tomorrow's event will not only make you feel better but it could give a dog another chance at life! Plus, pizza.
