What's New And Exciting At The Fair At The PNE In Vancouver This Year
It's finally here!
In case you’ve been living under a rock, The fair at the PNE is opening in Vancouver this weekend! This highly anticipated end of summer event always brings in quite the crowd and this year will be no exception. We have your inside scoop of what's new at PNE 2019 this year.
It’s safe to say that almost everyone goes to PNE for the rides. This year, there are 24 rides to choose from. These rides range from family-friendly fun to extreme adrenaline rush!
Some of the fan favourites. While many rides are making a come back, PNE has closed down quite a few.
While some of the old classics are either coming or going, a lot of new experiences are popping up this year. According to an email sent by PNE to Narcity, there are tons of new exhibitions hitting the grounds.
All of the experiences will be available for viewing daily which means you won’t have to plan around them!
Sure to be a hit this year is the Snap Happy: A Do-It-Your-Selfie Experience. This exhibition will allow you to totally immerse yourself in a pop-up filled with multi-sensory attractions. Your Insta is going to be fire after one visit here!
For those of you who like a little more flash, check out Electric Fire! This nightly attraction is a pyro musical extravaganza! There will be flying rockets, exploding fire, live performers, and tons of shocking stunts.
Speaking of extravaganzas, there will be a nightly drag show! If you’ve never been to a drag show before, now is your chance.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a PNE experience. While these outdoor concerts may not be new, some of the faces that will be headlining are.
PNE really outdid themselves this year and are hosting some serious throwbacks. Evenand we could not be more excited about it!
While general admission and rush seating is available through general admission ticket purchases, there is reserved seating! Tickets for seats are available now through the Ticket Leader website.
PNE also has all of our favourites returning this year including the SuperDogs, PNE Prize Home, Dinosaur Stomp, and Knight of Valour. All of these returning attractions will be occurring daily so be sure to check them out!

It wouldn’t be a PNE exhibition without the food! Thankfully, there are tons of new food items coming our way and you need to check out.
According to PNE, there will be lots of vegan and plant-based options. While you can still get your battered and deep-fried items, vegan and vegetarians will now have a wide variety of items to choose from.
Stands to look out for in the veg world include Dragon Bowls, Govinda’s Vegan Vegetarian Street Food, Atomic Tacos, Handmade Stuffed Burger Booth, Lookout Grill, and Buddha-Ful Vegetarian Food.
For those of you who have no dietary restrictions, be prepared to eat! There are some seriouscoming to the traditional fair food.

PNE is set toand run until Sept. 2, 2019. Gates will be open every day from 11 a.m. to late with closures taking place on Aug. 19 and 26.
