Ottawa's European Style Christmas Market Will Have A 30 Foot Sparkling Tree

Thanks to Ottawa’s new, European-style Christmas markets, vendors will be bringing a touch of Europe to Ontario, and the whole thing looks pretty festive. Forget booking a vacation to Europe this Christmas. Ottawa’s very own festive market is promising to be everything you could find at a European Christmas event and so much more, too. Just imagine traditional market vendors and the comforting smell of cinnamon baked goods - sounds awesome, right?
Even better, a representative from Ottawa City has confirmed to Narcity that the 2019 Ottawa Christmas market will have one of the city's largest Christmas trees ever, standing tall at an approximate height of 30 feet.
Withexpected to make the tree sparkle this year, the Christmas tree light switch-on will officially open the Ottawa Christmas Market on November 29.
If you’re not prepared to miss out on this Instagram-worthy event, the Ottawa Christmas Market will take place at the Aberdeen Square at Lansdowne. Kicking-off on November 29, the festivities will run throughout the Christmas period, coming to a close on December 22, 2019.
As well as the huge tree, there will be wine-tasting, fire-pits, live music and plenty of unique shopping opportunities, perfect for getting you into those Christmas-vibes.
If a 30 foot Christmas tree is not good enough for you, you can head over to Toronto where they’ll have an even bigger one.
At a whopping 50 foot in height,will be adorned with 40,000 lights, 800 ornaments, and an unbelievable 1 km of ribbon.
