There are plenty of gorgeous spots in Ottawa to see blooming flowers. Now that Tulip Festival is over, you might be wondering where can you enjoy seeing flowers this summer.
One fantastic spot to see flowers in Ottawa is at the Central Experimental Farm. In July there is a massive field of cheerful yellow blooming sunflowers that you can visit.
Make sure to add visiting the sunflower field at the Central Experimental Farm to your summer bucket list. Every year the sunflower field is a favourite spot with locals, as it makes the ultimate background for Instagram photos. So make sure to invite your friends to join you this summer to visit the flower field. Together you all can have a fantastic time taking photographs of each other with the large yellow flowers!
Sunflowers bloom later in the summer in Ottawa. Typically they start blooming in July but depending on the temperature and amount of rain the sunflowers may only bloom towards the end of July or August. As such, it might be necessary to check in person, or via other people's Instagram photos if the sunflowers are in bloom.
This year the sunflower field at the Central Experimental Farm will be at a new location this year at Merivale and Baseline. According to Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, the public is welcome to visit the flower field to take photographs.
