Who’s ready to go tiptoeing through the tulips? The arrival of springtime in Ottawa is always a huge relief for those of us who simply despise harsh winter weather. Not only does the city begin to thaw, but the tulips our capital is famous for start popping up all over town. So if you’re wondering where to see tulips in Ottawa, just take a look at the map below.

From perfectly peach blooms to vibrant reds, yellows, and purples, tulips sprout up in all sorts of colours that can make you feel like you’re walking through a rainbow.

The season for these flowers is largely dependant on the weather, but typically they start blooming in late April or early May.

This year, the annual Canadian Tulip Festival will begin on May 8, which gives you a few days to try and sneak a peek before the crowds arrive.

These gorgeous flowers can be found all across Ottawa and even spanning into beautiful Gatineau as well.

On the map below, we’ve included some of the best and largest collections of this springtime blossom. So now, you don’t have to waste any time planning out your flower power route!
