Harry Potter fans, rejoice! Toronto is getting a stage production of everyone's favourite wizard and his friends, and it will be an all-Canadian cast. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in Toronto will be showing this October 2020, and tickets go on sale in April. So grab your broomsticks and get ready for everything Harry Potter.

The play will be on at Ed Mirvish Theatre and will have a cast of 39 actors, according to CP24. It has already seen huge success in cities like London, New York, Melbourne, San Francisco, and Hamburg.

Toronto will be the sixth installation of the Harry Potter play, which is the first on-stage production of the world of Harry Potter

The box office will open on April 4th at 9:45 a.m., so mark your calendars if you want to be among the first to see this production come to life in Toronto.  

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth installment of the series and is set 19 years after their Hogwarts days when they are all grown up. 

Imogen Heap will be putting on the musical arrangements, according to their website

This will not be a show to miss if you're a fan of the wizarding world. Tickets start $69 and the play will be shown in two parts.

The first block of tickets will be for the dates between October 23 through May 30, so it looks like there will be plenty of chances to see the world of Harry Potter come to life.


According to Ed Mirvish's website, it has won "25 major U.S. awards, with six Tony Awards including Best Play. It also won 24 major theatre awards in the U.K. and is the most awarded show in the history of Britain’s Olivier Awards, winning a record-breaking nine awards including Best New Play. "

So grab your broomsticks, because it's time to emerge yourself in the world of Harry Potter.
