A Massive Free Holiday Light Show Is Coming Back To Toronto This Month

Here's something to look forward to as you welcome in next year. The annualis coming back to the 6ix and it's transforming the Distillery District in January into a magical bright wonderland. Although the Christmas season will be over, you can ring in 2020 by exploring the wonders of the night for free.
From January 17 to March 1, 2020, visitors can enjoy the beauty of illuminating light displays across the district.
The Festival's website states: "In a world with so many dark and ominous messages, our goal was to create a positive, magical urban oasis where people of all ages and backgrounds could and would enjoy together."
Now heading into its third year, the fest brings stunning works to life through magical displays as you walk past. Some of the exhibits might leave you in awe.
The winter season can be a rough one with the brisk cold and dark nights but the Light Fest aims to get people to enjoy the season and bring life back into the 6ix.
According to the website, the festival exhibits local and international artists that live for lights.
These pieces are meant to educate, warm hearts, and inspire, and it certainly brings some winter magic to the Distillery District.
There are a fewbut people don't seem to mind braving the cold to catch beautiful works of art.
And at this particular one, you can simply stroll through the place and get lost in the displays. Whether you're heading for a romantic dinner date, popping out for a drink with friends, or just passing through, it's there to be enjoyed by everyone.
Torontonians are lucky enough to be provided withthroughout the season and into next year.
And in the Distillery District, it's no different. The Light festival arrives in the area soon after the Toronto Christmas Market, which runs from mid-November until December 22.
If you're unable to attend the Toronto Light Festival but still want to experience similar events,that'll have you blown away and taking pictures at every turn.
This event, though, is absolutely free and worth a night out into the city.
