While winter means freezing weather and driveway shoveling, it also brings with it some truly amazing things. One of the best things about colder weather is skating along ice rinks, and of course, stopping for hot chocolate afterward. This year, a whole new skating experience is about to hit the city, and you don't want to miss it! This major Toronto hub is making all of our Christmas wishes come true with a massive outdoor ice rink! Toronto Union Station ice rink is opening for the first time ever this year, and it's completely free!

Start sharpening those skates, because this enormous rink is calling your name. The rink is part of Union Holiday, which runs from November 29, 2019, to January 4, 2020. The skating rink is a brand new addition to the event and is sure to become a huge attraction.

Located in Union Station's Sir John A MacDonald Plaza, it will be the largest free outdoor skating rink in the city, stretching to about half the size of an NHL rink! Whether you're a skating champion, a casual skater, or are just learning, it's the perfect place to bring all of your wintery dreams to life.

Grab your skates and head over to Union Station this winter for some holiday cheer. If you don't have skates, you can rent them for free from TD and Union. They will also be offering free skating lessons and helmet rentals, so you can become an expert skater in no time!

Union Station is also offering free musical performances and complimentary gift wrapping from December 9 to December 24, so you don't have to stress about terrible wrapping skills! There will be many vendors inside the station for you to do some holiday shopping as well.

The rink will be open daily from November 29, 2019, to January 4, 2020, weather permitting. There will be no skating on Christmas Day. Join in the holiday cheer at this enormous outdoor rink! The Union Holiday website will be updated with more information about the event soon. Don't forget to check out more skating adventures nearby this winter!
