The snow will soon be starting to melt away, revealing lush trails and spring blooms waiting to be explored. If you're ready to breathe in some fresh spring air, you don't even have to leave the city. Toronto is home to lots of serene trails, and you can reach them by hopping on the subway. Toronto's easy TTC hikes are the perfect spots to adventure to this spring.

You don't need to have a car in order to go hiking. The city is full of parks and trails that are accessible by TTC.

Since we're still waking up from our winter slumber, these hikes aren't too challenging, so you can enjoy the views without breaking a sweat.

High Park is always a wonderful place to wander through, especially during this season, when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom.

Moccasin Trail Park is a true hidden gem, with quiet pathways and a colourful rainbow tunnel you can stroll through.

See the new spring blossoms at Toronto Botanical Gardens, or hit up a farmer's market after your hike at Don Valley Brickworks Park.

Of course, if you are willing to go outside of the city there are also a variety of Ontario hikes to you can add to your bucket list as well!

High Park

Why You Need To Go: Jump on the UP Express from Union and ride for seven minutes to Bloor Go. High Park is the perfect place to explore in the spring, with relaxing trails and tons of stunning blossom trees.


Don Valley Brickworks Park

Why You Need To Go: Take Line 2 to Broadway Station. From there, take Bus 100A to Broadview Ave. at Mortimer Ave. You can explore beautiful nature trails at Don Valley Park without working up a sweat, and stop by the farmers market at Evergreen Brickworks afterwards for some fresh spring goods.


Crothers Woods

Why You Need To Go: Take Line 1 to St. Clair, then hop on the 88A bus to Redway Rd. S. You get lost in a stunning woodland filled with meadows and spring views.


Rosedale Ravine

Why You Need To Go: Ride Line 1 to Bloor-Yonge. From there, it's about a ten-minute walk to Rosedale Ravine. The hike offers views of ancient trees and towering bridges.


Rouge Park

Why You Need To Go: Hop on Line 1 to York Mills, then take bus 92 to Rougemount Dr. From there, walk 15 minutes to Rouge Park. This area has some of Canada's oldest indigenous sites, as well as tons of trails to explore.


Toronto Botanical Garden

Why You Need To Go: Ride Line 1 to Lawrence Station, then take bus 162 to Blaine Drive E. From there, you can wander through the four-acre blooming gardens for the ultimate springtime adventure.


Moccasin Trail Park

Why You Need To Go: Take Line 1 to St. George, and from there catch Line 2 to Pape. Then, grab bus 25B to the Donway East. Moccasin Trail Park has a colourful rainbow tunnel and ravine forest.

Why You Need To Go: Take Line 1 to St. Clair, then walk seven minutes to the park. You'll see sparkling fountains and serene trails at this spot.
