Penton Farms is located an hour from Birmingham and has opened its strawberry fields for curious pickers at their Sugar Hill Farm. This pick-your-own farm allows visitors to pick buckets of fresh berries as they wander through the brilliant, red fields.
Though the farm is open Monday to Saturday until the end of May, availability is not always guaranteed, so it's best to visit the field early to get the best pickings.

According to their Facebook, Sugar Hill is a family-owned farm with more than 140,000 plants spread throughout the strawberry fields and is open to the public.
