Arizona may be known as "The Grand Canyon State," but those of us who live here know that the desert is full of beautiful, hidden gems. This easy hike will take you to a hidden cave in Arizona with gorgeous views.

Robbers Roost, also known as Shaman Cave, is a hidden cave with a large natural rock window overlooking the landscape. It's located in Sedona, AZ and it's about a 2.5-mile hike roundtrip from the low-clearance parking lot. The trail is open year-round, but it can be very hot during the summertime, so plan accordingly.

The cave was reportedly used by robbers and bootleggers who used the cave's natural rock window to look out for ranchers coming after them. The parking lot is free, but the lot and most of the trail is unmarked. You can go here for more information on the cave's location.

When you reach the cave, relax and enjoy the view because it's breathtaking! It would even make a great place to have a quick picnic. If you want a shorter hike, you'll need a high clearance vehicle to reach the high clearance parking lot.

The trail will be a little rocky, making for an even greater adventure. Once you reach the top, you'll have gorgeous 360-degree views. Instead of watching for ranchers, you and your friends can look out and admire the views.

This easy trail makes for a great morning hike with friends. If they aren't available, don't worry because you can bring your furry pals along for the ride. If you're looking for more easy hikes that you can bring your furry friend on check out this one here
