Witch please, we're here for all things spooky. This Halloween, you can gather your coven of friends and go paddleboarding in Arizona. Grab those broomsticks (paddleboards), your best witch attire, and get ready to have a magical time.
On October 31 from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m., you and your coven can meet-up at Tempe Town Lake for a bewitching paddleboard session. Wearing your spookiest most fabulous witch outfit is a MUST and of course, your fiercest resting witch face to scare away all the little children.
This super fun meet-up will require you to purchase a $10 City of Tempe permit beforehand. If you don't own a paddleboard, no worries. You can rent one from Desert Paddle Boards for $20. You should also make sure that you arrange to have your rental boards picked up or dropped off since the company isn't permitted to drop them off for you.
You and your friends can celebrate Halloween early if you decide to meet-up with fellow sisters in arms. If you're a warlock you can also join in on the fun! Make sure to wear your most exquisite costume.
This paddleboard meetup is totally fine for beginners. You can even watch a Youtube video for tips. Narcity has reached out to Desert Paddle Boards and has confirmed that the boards are stable and fine for beginners. We're pretty sure that if you fall in, you won't melt.
You'll need to arrive for this bewitching meet-up on the Northside of Tempe Lake. That's where the magic will begin.
It's probably best to leave your familiars (furry friends) at home but you can opt for prop versions instead.
Last year, some witches arrived with cauldrons and cat props to attach to their paddleboards. You and your coven will have a magical time meeting up with fellow witches and warlocks, making one big lap around the lake.
If you want to remember the magical time you will have, you can purchase a Witches Regatta t-shirt for $20.
