The streets of Florida will come to life at an artistic event like no other. The Chalk Festival is a three-day-festival featuring elaborate chalk paintings on the road surface at the Venice Airport.
The festival features 3D pavement illusions and larger-than-life murals that seem to come to life during the exhibition. This is one of the most popular fall events to attend. If you love the murals at Wynwood Art District, these 3D murals will inspire your creativity and Instafeed!
This year, the Chalk Festival will restore and redesign the massive megalodon shark that won a Guinness World Record for "Largest Anamorphic Pavement Painting" ever created. The original large display cost an estimated 150k which will feature new elements by Kurt Wenner. This mural will create an illusion like no other mural you have seen in South Florida.
Each mural has intricate designs and illusions from 12 feet and up to 100 feet. Artists can take up to three to eight days to complete the murals. The Chalk Festival also offers pre-event classes and experiences where the public paint images on walls and explore a maze of wonder.
This is the most interactive art festival happening this fall where guests will experience real-time artistic creation.
