A Whimsical 'Alice In Wonderland'-Themed Festival Is Coming To Florida In 2020
We're all mad here!
Whether you’re a fan of the original books by Lewis Carroll, the old 1951 animated film, or the Tim Burton remake in 2010, Alice in Wonderland has been a timeless and beloved classic of many. Now, among the many festivals coming to Florida in 2020, you can celebrate the Hatter in all his goofy glory at The Mad Hatter’s Festival in Jacksonville.
The Mad Hatter has been the inspiration of many characters throughout film and literature. Through the many remakes and iterations of the story, he has always been featured and has inspired cosplayers, parties, and characters for years.
So it's time to break out your top hats and coattails, and maybe your favorite teapot set too. The event will take place during the springtime and everyone is invited. The outdoor fest will have plenty of arts and crafts to keep you busy, plus local vendors, live music entertainment, and let us not forget the food and drinks.
There will be Easter egg hunts for both the younger and older attendees, and of course, a tea party with Alice and the Hatter himself. There will even be a cupcake eating contest for adults, and the winner will be crowned Tea Party Champion!
This festival takes the term “March Madness” to a whole new level.
This market and festival are sure to draw likeminded characters from the community together, and the best part is that it is free to attend.
In a true mad fashion, the event will be held rain or shine.
And while the event is open to the public, you will need to register beforehand and get a wristband to participate in the egg hunt and cupcake eating contest.
Think you can eat 24 entire cupcakes? See how madly you stack up against the competition.
Details for the event are still unfolding, but you can sign up for email notifications using the website link below to stay up to date on all the fantastical happenings.
