Save the bees! It's one of the most popular slogans from 2019 and there is a bee festival to prove it. Jacksonville will be hosting a Bee Festival for National Honey Bee Day that will give you all the sugar feels.
The Bee Festival will take place at Jacksonville Fairgrounds on Saturday Aug. 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you love honey and have a passion for the bee community, this will be a great event to support.
The event will be hosted by Bee Friends Farm, a business that started in 2013 by beekeeper Michael Leach. Bee Friends Farm is one of North Florida’s premium honey producers working closely with passionate beekeepers.
Besides saving the bees, Bee Friends Farm's goal is to manage 600 healthy colonies of bees. The Wildflower Honey is the company's best-selling honey for its healing properties such as allergy protection.
The greatest thing about honey is that it does not spoil. You can purchase the honey online at any time and it will be good after a while.
The Bee Festival will feature over 60 amazing local producers like Tea Nation USA, Lucy Lou's, 1748 Bakehouse, Anney Life Designs, Petal And Stone and more.
Guests can participate in educational programs with professional speakers that will introduce topics such as Backyard Beekeeping, Planting for Pollinators and more.
The event is free to attend and you will have a chance to get jars of one of the best honey in the state. You will experience pure honey which is one of the most organic ingredients. Save the bees and support your local farmers during this bee-utiful festival.
