Sparky Will Have A Doggone Good Time At This Easter Egg Hunt For Dogs In Jacksonville
Jacksonville is hosting a doggy Easter Egg hunt so you can celebrate the holiday with your furry friend
Hoppy Easter is right around the corner. Those of us with fur babies are prepared to spoil our good boys and girls with all the Easter treats. If you really want to celebrate Easter with your pupper while supporting a good cause, you can take your furry friend to Jacksonville for an Easter egg hunt specifically for doggos - and it is super adorable.
The Friends of Clay County Animals Inc and Woof Gang Bakery are teaming up to throw the 7th annual Easter Egg hunt for your lovable companion in Jacksonville, and it sounds like a doggone good time. All the easter eggs are filled with treats for your fur-legged friend and will allow them to frolic and make friends while they play with all the other adorable puppers.
People are known to dress up their pup in their best Easter Sunday garb. Of course, you aren't required to dress to the occasion, but there is something seriously cute about putting little ears on your dog. Some adorn bunny ears while others wear tu-tu's, sunglasses, and neckerchiefs - like in these too-cute pics below:
The event will feature the egg hunt - as well as silent auctions/raffles, a Jumpin Jax flyball show, vendor fair, food trucks, and even an option for your doggo to take a picture with the Easter Bunny. If you have kids, they will also have a bounce house - which is completely free.
If you participate in the egg hunt, $15 is due at registration - but the event is free to attend if you aren't participating in the hunt. Any money non-egg hunters decide to spend will be done by participating in the raffles and silent auctions, at the vendor fair, or on food; all of the proceeds go to Friends of Clay County Animal Services and their mission.
Friends of Clay County Animal Servies are a group of unpaid volunteers who have a passion and love for animals. They believe that every life matters and work to fundraise for medical care that is needed by Clay County shelter animals beyond basic vet care. The dogs and cats that receive medical care from the funds they raise go on to live healthier happier lives, and after receiving their needed care are able to be adopted into their forever home. This information is listed on their website.
The best doggone Easter Egg hunt will be on April 20th and will run from 11 am to 3 pm, located at Orange Park Town Hall - 2042 Park St, Orange Park, Florida 32244. To participate in the egg hunt, you will need to register your spot. The Big Dog hunt is at 12:30 pm and the Little Dog hunt is at 1:00 pm; dogs big and small are all welcome to participate. Those who Pre-Register for the event will receive a bandana, free reusable tote bag, and a decorated dog cookie for your pupper. Pre-registration is open until 04/18 through their website.
