This Miami Garden Exhibit Will Make You Feel Like You're In Jurassic Park
They won't chase you, though.
Dinosaurs in Florida? Yes, life-sized dinosaur replicas will make an appearance in Miami this summer and it will be majestic. Flamingo Gardens is hosting a dinosaur exhibit where you can discover the largest terrestrial creatures that ever lived on earth.
This exhibit was featured in 2017 and is coming back with more features and activities than before. The gardens are home to flamingos, swans, and even peacocks roaming freely among the greenery. The exhibition will have 27 realistic dinosaur replicas throughout the jungle settings of Flamingo Gardens, plus real dinosaur skeletons and fossils.
There will be interactive displays, real bones on the Dino Dig, and real fossilized dinosaur eggs and bones. This will be a journey to the Mesozoic era like never before.
The 'Lost World of Dinosaurs' exhibit will showcase Echoes of Extinction, a gallery of rare-prehistoric fossils, fossil flora, replicas, and reconstructions. Visitors will also have the opportunity to touch an original 3-foot dinosaur bone and talk with paleontologists and historians.
This exhibit includes one of only two mounted Nanotyrannus skeletons in the world, a 14 feet long mounted Tricaeratops skeleton, and the only mounted fossil leg of the Dakotaraptor in the world, standing at over 5 feet tall.
Entrance to the gardens cost $19.95 and is open daily from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. While you walk the gardens and discover the dinosaurs, you will see other live wildife around. You can feed the peacocks while enjoying the nature but be careful to not get bitten.
Flamingo Gardens is located at 3750 S. Flamingo Rd, Davie, FL 33330.
