Juicy, citrusy, and colorful fruits will take over Homestead next month. The Redland Summer Fruit Festival will kick off fruit season and bring the most exotic fruits to the city.
All your fruit cravings will be satisfied at this festival, especially when it starts to get really hot in Miami. The festival will showcase the best fruits that grow locally in South Florida. Get your tropical delights at this festival and get ready to discover new exotic fruits.
The event will be hosted by Fruit & Spice Park on June 22-23 from 10 am to 5 pm, and the rainbow-hued array of fruits will bring you happiness for days.
At the festival, you will be able to find fresh jackfruit, mangoes, cinnamon apple, star fruit, carambola, the freshest strawberries and so much more.
You might be lucky and find some artistically carved watermelons and other international fruits that are unique in taste and color. The park is a tropical oasis making it a perfect haven when the weather hits 95 degrees.
The festival will be $10 per person and you can purchase your tickets in advance here. According to the event page, there will be a kid's area where little ones can pet farm critters, ride ponies, and participate in a watermelon-eating contest. This will be a smorgasbord of seasonal sweetness featuring local wines, agriculture, sampling of rare fruits, fresh smoothies and more.
Also, make sure to explore the park and the different trees surrounding the area. You will want to plan a comfortable outfit, as your visit could include extensive walking.
