You read that right! You can paint with actual chocolate this Friday at Exquisito Chocolates, Miami's first-ever chocolate factory. The Painting with Chocolate event will be held at Exquisito Chocolates in Little Havana. The event is BYOB, so bring your favorite bottle of wine.
“It’s painting with a chocolate twist, if you will, and you get to eat chocolates along the way," said Exquisito Owner Carolina Quijano, according to WSVN 7News.
Exquisito will give you a pre-sketched canvas so you can fill in the lines with chocolatey goodness. The chocolate paint comes in a rainbow of colors and is entirely edible, so have a taste!
“Everything that they’re painting with is edible, so it’s just cocoa butter with different colors in it," said Quijano to WSVN.
You'll also get a peek behind-the-scenes at Miami's first chocolate factory. If you want to see more, Exquisito offers an official factory tour where you can taste test the chocolate while observing how its made. The next factory tours are Wednesday, July 24 and Thursday, July 25 at Exquisito.
According to the factory's website, Exquisito believes in "respecting the beans" by using only ethically-sourced cocoa beans. As for the chocolate, the company uses only natural ingredients with no preservatives.
Exquisito asks that you wear long pants and closed-toed shoes to the painting class since you'll be in the production area. You can bring your painting home, so hurry back before it melts in this summer heatwave.
This event is offered every Friday evening at Exquisito. Paint your edible masterpiece this Friday!
