You Can Actually Go To Mermaid School At Disney Hotels In Orlando
Splash is in session.
If you’ve ever witnessed a little kid splashing around in a pool with one of those mermaid tails and had to pretend to be annoyed but secretly wished you could do the same, you’re not alone. Or is that just us? Either way, you can now live out your mermaid dreams and be just like your favorite underwater princess at the Mermaid School in Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort hotels!
The program was first offered last March at select Disney hotels, and is now back by popular demand.
Sebastian knew what he was talking about when he said, and apparently Disney and their guests agree.
Starting Sunday, March 1, you can book your one-hour class for $55 at seven different Disney hotels. You’ll be fitted for your swimmable mono-tail and learn how to navigate the water with it.
Classes are open for anyone ages four and up, so you don’t have to worry about being that one weird adult in class. Mermen are totally welcome, too!
Participants will play games, swim through hoops, dive for treasure, and even get a unique medallion at the end of class to commemorate their time “under the sea.”
If you’ve been looking for a chance to earn your sea legs, or rather, sea fins, this is your chance.
Mermaid classes will be in session at seven different Disney resorts, including the Art of Animation Resort and the Caribbean Beach Resort.
The Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, the All-Star Music Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s newly opened Riviera Resort are also part of the list.
The Mermaid Academy that brings the classes to Disney’s resorts also offersfor purchase.
So, you can go home with your very own, totally-not-embarrassing-but-probably-not-going-to-show-your-friends tail.
But who cares what other people think? You’re a magical mermaid in your heart and these classes prove just that.
Swim to your heart’s content and forget about the haters. You can’t hear them underwater, anyway.
