A Huge Reptile Convention Is Slithering Into Sarasota This Weekend
Where the wild things are.
Reptiles: creepy, or cuddly? No matter what your opinion is, most can agree that they're pretty cool to at least look at. If you've ever wanted to see, or maybe even hold, some exotic animals and reptiles up close, Repticon 2019 is returning to Sarasota this weekend.
The event will give guests a chance to learn more about these exotic creatures from expert speakers in the field of herpetology at educational seminars, as well as more hands-on learning from vendors.
Multiple breeders offering hundreds of pets from reptiles to amphibians, invertebrates, spiders, and other small exotic animals are always willing to teach, and will even give you a chance to hold some if you're feeling brave.
If you already own some exotic pets or decide to head home with a new friend, Repticon will also have supply vendors offering cages, live and frozen feeders and other supplies you might need - even advice on how to care for your new friend.
If you don't think you'll be purchasing or holding snakes and iguanas any time soon, browsing and watching other people handle them would still be super cool - maybe we'll hold one of the cuddly furry animals instead. They'll even be running free-raffles for prizes, you might just end up winning something!
Whether you want to experience these creatures up close, are in the market for a new pet or a full-fledged reptile lover, you won't want to miss Repticon this weekend in Sarasota.
