Zephyrhills Is Throwing A Massive FREE Summer Fest This Month With A Huge Firework Display
They'll even have a watermelon eating and dance contest!
Summer is almost here in the Sunshine State, and that means we need to celebrate. If you want to ring in the summer season right, the Zephyrhills FREE summer festival with a huge firework display is happening this month.
The first day of summer is June 21st, and we're ready to start our summer road trips. To kick off your bucket list trips, start by attending the summer celebration at Zephyrhills' summer fest on June 22nd.
This massive event will run in 2 parts - the Morning Market and the evening SummerFest. If you're busy in the evening, the morning market will feature 50 local artisan vendors from 10am-2pm for you to shop til you drop.
Just 2 hours after the daytime market comes to a close, the real fun will begin with the SummerFest portion of the Summer Celebration. The evening event kicks off with an epic dance battle competition, where you can shuffle, mow the lawn, screw in the lightbulb, do the twist - whatever your special dance moves are - while competing for glory.
Following the dance competition, fruit fanatics can try their chops at an eating contest; a juicy watermelon eating contest at that. Chomp that lightly sweet watermelon and enjoy the summer sun, but don't forget to spit out the seeds!
The event will feature multiple food vendors for you to grab a bite to eat, as well as family-friendly activities such as face painting, bounce houses, and balloon twisters. More vendors and activities will be there - but we don't want to spoil all the fun!
As the festival comes to a close, top the night off as you watch the sky light up with colorful explosions during a 30-minute fireworks show over the lake, the LARGEST fireworks show in all of Zephyrhills. There's no better way to end a celebration than big colorful booms lighting up the Florida sky.
