80s and 90s babies should rejoice because our childhood is coming back full circle. Remember simpler times when our main concern was swinging a joystick around to keep Pac Man out of the grasp of some colorful ghosts? Well, that iconic game is coming to life right before our eyes in the form of an immersive gaming event. You and your friends will get the chance to become Pac Man during an escape maze that's taking Atlanta by storm next year.

Immersive Gaming Event Company is taking all the elements of Pac Man and incorporating them into an escape maze where you take on the role of the little yellow guy himself.

You and your friends will join forces to collect fruit while dodging the infamous ghosts that take your lives. If you lose three lives, you're out of the game. Only the strong survive.

If you collect all your fruit, you'll be faced with another objective - cracking a coded puzzle. If your team rises to the challenge and is the first to finish the puzzle, you'll become champions.

Aside from the completely epic mazes, you'll be whisked away to another decade when you step in the "Pixel Room," that's home to vintage arcade games and more. You'll even get the chance to grub with food and drink selections.

During your stay, you won't just be competing for honor and bragging rights. You have the chance to win prizes if you can complete the various challenges the quickest.

The team behind The Maze told Narcity that these prizes will vary from city, with everything from medals and candy to speakers. This event is guaranteed to become the most competitive adult playground that you surely do not want to miss.

Although the maze isn't projected to hit Atlanta until October 2020, tickets go on sale next week. The early bird catches the worm, right?

If the neon Pac Man vibes are totally your aesthetic, you'll also fall in love with this neon wonderland coming to the city this winter.

Why You Need To Go: It's super rare that our childhood games come to life in such an entertaining way (and not a Jumanji style way).
