If you're looking for bustling fun, check out The Vortex, where they bring you $3 "mystery shots." Rule is you're not allowed to ask what's in them. You can't miss the building with the front door crafted into a black and white skull. If you have more than $20 in your pockets than you and your date can test your limits with 6.5lb Quadruple Coronary Bypass monstronsity of a burger. If anything, it'll bring you closer.
Underground Atlanta is a mini-town within the city. Yes, it is underground, the 6-block community is filled with things to see and places to go. On Wednesdays you can try sample lunches from oer 60+ food vendors for the free. You can do a scavenger hunt for $4 to learn more about th area or even a guided walking tour for $10. It's a perfect way to learn something new while learning someone new.
Fernbank Science Center
Most Atlanta-natives probably visited Fernbank Science Center as a kid, but the experience is entirely new and exciting when seeing the exhibits with someone who hasn't been. For $7 ($5 if you're 18), you can see the universe in 4k while standing in 70-ft diameter planetarium. There are a few immersive experiences included in your ticket that go-indepth about black holes and the surface of the moon. You can truly take your date out of this world.
72 Floor Glass Elevator
While an elevator isn't exactly a date, it can be a breathtaking moment for anyone to experience. The 72 floor glass box reveals the entire city and beyond, taking you and your new boo to the Sun Dial Restaurant and Bar. You can get a ride of your life before sitting at the bar and chatting over $8 cocktails. If you go right before sundown, you'll have a bird's eye view of the setset. Score.
Midtown Art Cinema
The Midtow Art Cinema is straight from the 50s. The vintage movie theater is perfect for an aesthetic lover who doesn't mind seeing a mainstream, box office picture or an indie movie in black and white. Tickets start at $9 and you truly can't beat that in this city.
Porter Beer Bar
Porter Beer Bar is the number one beer bar in Atlanta. With literally over 100 beers for you to choose from, you'll allowed to try as many as want for free. Happy hour drinks (4-8p) start at $5 where you can chooose anything on tap. If you're feeling more risky, you can choose any beer they have stored in the basement. These you are not able to try because it takes them a lot of work to pull them from them from the cellar. If you don't like it, you can't get a refund. Perfect way to see if you both have a spontaneity streak.
