The inner 90s kid that still lives inside you has a reason to celebrate. All those days and nights watching Nickelodeon have come to life at an exclusive pop-up experience in Georgia. Nickelodeon has brought the first-ever Slime City experience in the country to Atlanta, where you can literally get slimed and relive the best moments of your childhood.
This immersive experience is open to the public until September, where visitors can explore various rooms that center around the iconic green slime.
Remember the days where you stared admiringly at the Kid's Choice Awards, wishing you were on stage getting doused in the green goo? You can receive the ultimate (and long overdue) honor of getting slimed in the "Slime Central" room. Ponchos are required, so it won't ruin the throwback Nick T-shirt you picked out for the occasion.
If you really want to be one with the slime, you can upgrade your experience for an extra $30 to become a VIP. VIPs get to step into the solo slime tank where you'll get covered from head to toe in slime.
If you're 100 percent committed to living out your 90s fantasy, you can go in without a poncho. Afterward, you'll even walk away with an exclusive "I got slimed" T-shirt.
The other rooms feature giant tire swings, gushy bean bags, and balloons, all appropriately painted green of course.
This experience and all the photo-ops ring up to a total of $29. This pop-up rivals the nostalgia Candytopia brings, so both are must-sees before they are gone for good.
Even though you might be surrounded by kids during your whole experience, don't be weirded out. Know that you've rightfully earned your place to be there because you were a Nick fan long before they were even born.
Slime City is closed Monday and Tuesday, but you have plenty of other opportunities to get slimed Wednesday to Friday from 10:30 a.m to 6:30 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Address: 3330 Piedmont Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30305
Why you need to go: Atlanta is the first and only city to have this pop-up, so you get to experience what no other person in the country has even seen.
