As kids, we always went to museums on field trips and they were usually a bore. This art museum in Atlanta is just the opposite. Leading in the Southeast, the High Museum of Art has incredible pieces and has even more incredible parties.
The High Museum of Art is located on the popular Peachtree Street in the big ATL. It is a cool place to go as a tourist, and as a local.
The museum holds many events throughout the year, but some recent ones that they have been having are "Frequency Friday's."
On the first Friday of each month, the High has after-hour parties that feature different exhibits and have themes to each one.
On July 5, you can experience one of these parties for yourself. The fourth is already a huge party, so why don't you keep the momentum going?
Starting at 6:00 p.m., you and your friends can walk through unique and exclusive exhibits. This month, you will travel to Europe and see pieces from Van Gogh, Monet, Degas, and other artists from across the pond.
As you walk through the halls of the High, you will hear music from DJ A&R that will put you in the best mood.
Now the most important part, the drinks. There will be signature beverages that you can purchase including the Picasso Punch Sangria.
There are even events inside of this event. You will be able to learn how to draw like the artists you are viewing with instruction by a Georgia State instructor.
It is only $14.50 for admission, but if you are already a member of the museum, it is completely free and you can get your ticket at the door.
After work, stop by, view some art, and drink a few cocktails with your friends.
