Georgia is the prime place to witness the incoming fall foliage, and the view is better when you're directly amongst the leaves. There's a 66-acre farm in the tiny North Georgia town of Lula that's home to an impressive treetop adventure, where you can get a birds-eye view of nature's magical transition. There's an added surprise to your treetop quest. To subside your adrenaline pumping, you can take part in a magical glamping in Georgia experience in a teepee.
North Georgia Canopy Tours is tucked away in a small town, but it's dishing out larger-than-life adventures. Their immensely popular "Adventure Tour" will have you zipling across the forest, river and ponds 12 different times over a three-hour time span. This grand finale zip might take your breath away; it's a 695-foot zip over the Hilltop Pond, but it's a "dual zip". That means you can be comforted by the fact your friends and family can be terrified with you.
There's more to the tour than just zip lines too. There are sky bridges to cross and you can rappel from a gigantic tree. The ground will feel unfamiliar to you after you've been in the air so long.
If you don't have your own GoPro to capture all your epic footage, you can rent one on-site. Availability is limited, so you'll want to be there as soon as they open at 9 a.m.
Not everyone is equipped to handle all that suspension in the air. You can opt for the "Sky Bridge Tour" adventure, which crosses some of those obstacles off your list and only lasts two hours.
You're guaranteed to be worn out after all of those thrills, so you can settle down in a teepee for a night (or two) of glamping. Each campsite is inspired by the Seven Clans of Cherokee Indians, who've shaped the history of North Georgia.
There's a designated teepee to fit your needs. Whether you're looking for a romantic snuggle sesh with your S/O or trying to squeeze 10 people together in a room, there's a teepee for everyone!
