We are sure you heard all the stories about Bigfoot being in the woods when you were a kid. Bigfoot has been North American folklore for ages, but some believe it's more than just a story you tell to scare kids. This unique and fun museum in North Georgia has been dedicated to all things Sasquatch, including sightings and artifacts.

Expedition: Bigfoot! The Sasquatch Museum is located in Blue Ridge, Georgia, right in the mountains. The owner, David Bakara, has been a part of the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization for years and has some compelling evidence in his museum.

This museum covers 4,000 square feet and is filled with exhibition artifacts and videos that might turn a skeptic into a believer. There are audio recordings of adventurers in the woods, and even sketches from those who have seen the famous Sasquatch.

Many of the items around the museum have been donated or loaned to Bakara to really make this an even more compelling stop. Some items have come from universities and actual Yeti researchers.

It will take you around an hour to explore the entire museum because there is so much to look at and try to make explanations for.

There are many casting footprints that have been discovered and donated to Expedition Bigfoot from various exhibitions throughout the years.

You'll also discover maps on the walls with notes from those who have spotted the hairy beast themselves and there are even samples of its hair at this destination.

Once you've completed the tour, you can decide for yourself what you believe. North Georgia is filled with unique stops and while you're in the area, you need to check out this spot where you can go 200 feet underground to see where Georgians used to mine for gold.
