Thrill-seekers, this one is for you. If you're an adrenaline junkie, ziplining is a sure way to get your heart racing. Lucky for us Georgians, we've got ziplines that break records, like the world's largest zip line in North Georgia. If you journey a little further south, Columbus, Georgia is home of the only dual-state zipline, where you can zip from Georgia to Alabama and back.
If that wasn't enough, you'll be soaring 100 feet above the Chattahoochee River. Whitewater rafters are combing through the waters directly underneath you, so you might even get a little wet. Welcome to ziplining taken to a whole new level.
The Blue Heron Zipline at White Water Express is a 1,200 feet dual zip line where you can reach speeds of 40 mph. This is only the first out of a total of three flights where you'll be zipping atop some pretty amazing views.
The second flight officially puts you in Phoenix City, Alabama, where you'll fly above the wooded riverwalk area. Be prepared to witness a sea of green treetops. The final zip takes you back over the Chattahoochee, right to where you initially started.
If that's not enough adventure for you, you can take on Blue Heron Aerial Course, the treetop aerial course with varying levels of difficulty. It's optional after the first flight, but who wouldn't want to put their skills to the test? You'll encounter balance beams, ropes, zips, tunnels, and more. It's basically like American Ninja Warrior meets Tarzan.
We've done our research, and you can score an even sweeter deal here. You can zipline, attempt the aerial course, freefall, and even land a ride on a canyon raft - all unlimited for four hours - for $43.
You can zip rain or shine, but for reservations call (706) 321-4720. We strongly encourage calling before you take off into the air.
White Water Express brings you so many adventures on (and above) the water, so if you're still on an adrenaline high after your zip, you can take up rafting, kayaking, tubing, and so much more.
