A Terrifying Krampus-Themed Haunted House Is Opening In New Orleans Next Month
Santa's evil counterpart is coming to town.
The last half of the year is honestly the best time of the year. If you're a fan of both Halloween and Christmas but can't decide which is your favorite, don't worry, you're in the same boat as many. There will be a Krampus-themed haunted house in New Orleans next month and it is the answer to all your holiday prayers.
Krampus is Santa's evil counterpart that causes havoc on those who have misbehaved during the year. During the month of December, there are haunted houses that pop up all over the US, bringing scares to Christmas.
Each year brings a new theme and this year's theme is Jack Frost. So not only will you be running away from Krampus, you'll be running from a terrifying Jack Frost snowman.
This event will only be in NOLA at the New Orleans Nightmare on Dec. 13 and 14, so plan accordingly so you can get the crap scared out of you.
While the house might be covered in Christmas lights and decor, you'll still be entering your worst nightmare. Before you enter in, those 21 and up can calm their nerves at Bar 13 right next to the haunted house.
Aside from the haunted house itself, there are a few other things you can do at this scary Christmas spot. There are mini escape games that are just a $5 extra charge that is just as spooky as the house.
We suggest adding the sensory overload experience for just $10. You'll go through a maze in complete darkness while you hear creatures right next to your ear. You'll come across some challenges that will be difficult, but it just adds to the experience.
If you're a Krampus fan, NOLA will also be havingnext month and you can dress up for it. Texas is also celebrating this scary creature and having that you should check out.
