Spring is upon us which means it's time to finally get some Vitamin D and some fresh air. Amusement parks are opening back up and this includes Carowinds. This North Carolina amusement park has a new attraction that you'll definitely want to test drive ASAP.

Carowinds will be opening for the season on March 21 and every weekend after that. The schedule fluctuates from there on out, so if you're planning on going in the next few months, make sure to check the schedule.

The water park that's attached to the amusement park, Carolina Harbor, will be open for the season in May and the count down is on.

While the theme park might not be welcoming any new attractions, the water park has added the longest mat racing slide in the Southeast.

The Boogie Board Racer will be open to ride and rip down when the park opens and this line will probably be the longest in the entire park.

You and five other friends get to pick a color you want to race down and see who gets to the bottom first. You'll be moving at high speeds through a 360 degree, depending on your weight and height, and splash down at the bottom.

Another new addition to the park this summer will be the Grand Carnival Festival from June 13 to July 5, 2020.

Instead of traveling all the way to Rio for some fun the sun, you can just go to Carowinds and still feel the tropical vibes.

Tickets start at $45 and will give you access to both parks, or you can invest in a season pass to experience these attractions all summer long

Carowinds
