Spending a day with animals sounds like a dream come true. Spending a day with fluffy farm animals that will come right up to you to pet them, is even better. Apple Hill Farm in the NC mountains has alpacas and other cute animals you can actually play with. This cheap attraction in North Carolina should be on your list of to do's when you visit.

Apple Hill Farm is a working farm that offers guided walking tours year round at 2 p.m. every day. The tour lasts anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes and you will go through pastures, old apple orchards and gardens.

The farm also houses angora goats, donkeys, dogs, chickens and even a pig. There are also 15 fields and 4 barns that cover this mountain top farm.

Since this spot is open all year, there's never a bad time to experience this magical place. This is one of the few spots in the state where you can get VERY up close and personal with these animals and the farm actually encourages it.

You can choose between taking a public tour and get to know a few strangers on your trek, or if you have a large enough group, you can book a private tour. Whichever one you choose, you'll still get the same amazing animal experience.

Wearing your best hiking shoes is key because this hike is going to be hilly and muddy. Going up and down the mountain hills won't be easy, but with fluffy animals to pet along the way, it's sure to make it a little easier.

Before you leave, you have to go to the alpaca store. The on-site store has gloves, socks, sweaters and many other items made out of alpaca fur. Don't worry, alpacas shed like crazy so there's no harm done to the animals for their fibers!

These guided walking tours are only $12, which is an absolute steal. This is the perfect fall activity for you and your significant other or a day with the girls, so hurry up and get out there.

There is also a wine vineyard and llama farm in North Carolina that you need visit for more fuzzy animal fun.
