You Can Eat Pickle-Flavored Anything At A Huge North Carolina Pickle Fest This Spring
It's a big dill.
Whether they're fried or on a burger, it's no doubt that pickles are delicious. The juicy, crunchy snacks are celebrated most heavily in North Carolina because Mount Olive is literally the pickle capital. Get your hands on all the pickles (and pickle-flavored everything) at the North Carolina Pickle Fest 2020 this spring.
The North Carolina Pickle Festival is a massive annual party for all the pickle enthusiasts out there to show their appreciation for brined cucumbers. The festival is, not surprisingly, held in Mount Olive, NC (AKA the pickle capital of the U.S.).
Mount Olive is one of the biggest and most well-known pickle companies in the country. That's why tens of thousands of NC dwellers and tourists alike flock there each year to take part in a festive (and very green) party.
If you're a true fan, you won't be afraid to try the absurd pickle-flavored treats like peanuts, popcorn, snow cones and even donuts that have been available at past events (yes, they went there).
There are also carnival games and rides, a 5k run, car show, chili cook-off and so much more. Live music from local musicians will be featured as well.
There is clearly a bunch going on so make your rounds and celebrate your love for pickles the right way. Don't forget to snap a photo with their green mascot (pics or it didn't happen).
The two-day festival will take place on April 24 and 25 this year so there are boatloads of pickled goodness in your near future. Tickets aren't available yet but stay posted on their website for updates.
