North Carolina isn't typically recognized as a taco powerhouse, but we're here to tell you not to sleep on the Old North State. Prepare to indulge in some serious flavor and heat because there's a taco festival in North Carolina that'll be a massive boozy festival with the best Mexican food from across the state.

If you want a piece (or better yet, bite) of the action, then head to Cary's Booth Amphitheater on March 28, 2020.

The massive space will turn into taco central during the Tacos 'N Taps Festival, with over 15 restaurants offering Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican bites.

With over 30 different types of tacos to choose from, you'll have an endless array of food from south of the border. The festival guarantees that each vendor will have a $3 taco option, so you don't have to break the bank to feast.

One thing that amps up this festival is the sheer amount of booze you can choose from. Regular admission and VIP tickets include unlimited tastings of over 60 craft beers, mezcals, margaritas, tequilas, ciders, and wine. You can even keep your souvenir tasting glass.

When you're not chowing down on the endless food options, you'll have the chance to take part in some entertainment. Live mariachi bands will serve as the background music as you play lawn games.

If you want to literally spice up the day, you can enter the Hot Pepper Eating Contest.

For everything you're offered, ticket prices are pretty reasonable. A general admission ticket is $29 and includes admission, access to all activities, bottomless pours and discounted tacos.

VIP tickets are only $59 and include an extra hour of tasting, four taco tickets, bottomless pours, a souvenir sombrero, and some epic surprises.
