You Can Glide Down A 1,000-Foot Snow Tube Lane In North Carolina This Month
The largest snow tube park in the state!
During the colder months of the year, the snow starts to pile up in driveways and slopes in the backyard begin to form. Dragging your inner tube back up the snow hill in your backyard just to slide down and do it again can get pretty annoying. Well, spending a few winter days at Hawksnest Tubing will definitely change the way you look at snow tubing. This snow tubing park in North Carolina is the largest in the state, and you need to experience it at least once.
Hawksnest Tubing is located in Seven Devils, North Carolina and will begin its annual snow tubing this month. Since it's the largest snow tubing park on the East coast, you'll be in for a super fun time when you spend your day here.
Not only does the park have the largest snow tubing area, but it also has the longest zip line tour on the East coast. This zip line course has 20 different cables you can test your bravery on. You can even see all the snow tubing lanes as you zip down the lines.
Even though this place gets VERY busy during the holiday season, you don't have to worry about waiting hours in line (unlike some other parks). There are 30 lanes of white snow ready to be tubbed.
Each of the lanes varies from 400 feet to a long 1,000 feet long. Just when you thought how much it's going to suck to walk back 1,000 feet up a snow mountain, you'll be happy to hear that there will be a moving carpet that'll take you right back up.
The lanes all have lights so you can even tube at night. The snow equipment they use on the lanes are "state of the art," so no dull snow for us!
You will want to wear many layers and one waterproof layer on the top because the snow is VERY cold and wet at the bottom. The best way to purchase a ticket is online because tickets will sell out fast.
This is just onethat everyone in your group can enjoy. You also need to head over to for the real party in the state.
