It's no secret that Nashville is the land of Country music because it's covered in tons of hot spots that love to show off the honky tonk vibes. Gaylord Opryland Resort in Tennessee is one of those places and it gets even better during the holidays because it transforms into "A Country Christmas." The resort shifts into a gigantic winter wonderland that is so insane, you won't believe it's real.

Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville is a subsidiary of Marriott Hotels and it's the largest non-gaming, in-hotel exhibition space in the world. It's aesthetically incredible all on its own and the annual Christmas transformation (AKA A Country Christmas) makes it the true definition of winter magic.

We're talking three million lights, two million pounds of ice sculptures and even four acres of indoor water attractions.

We're totally here for all the lantern fests and light shows, but this top-notch spectacular is one for the books because it's a step (or 10) above the rest. Plus, admission is completely free.

You'll walk into a land of Southern music with a holiday twist as you're met with huge light fixtures hanging from the ceiling and a towering 48-foot-tall Christmas tree.

If we're talking numbers here, let's put things into perspective. There are three million holiday lights; 15,000 poinsettias; 15 miles of green garland; 10 miles of red ribbon; nearly 7,000 massive blocks of ice sculptures and 40 ice artisans from China. Needless to say, this place is monstruous.

There is so much to do that you will easily spend an entire day here having the time of your life with all the immersive attractions.

In addition to millions of lights covering the entire space, you can get lost in some real Christmas classic nostalgia. Marvel at A Christmas Story in frozen form with over two million pounds of hand-carved ice. You can also go indoor tubing, ice skating and even plunge down a slide made of ice.

We're saving the best for last here: There's a massive four-acre indoor waterpark. You can't miss this opportunity to bring out your inner child as you zoom down water slides, float down the lazy river and hang ten on the surf simulator.

The list goes on so make sure to check it all out for yourself. You can be a part of this magnificient Christmas fairytale land until New Year's Day so take in all the dreamy fun while you still can!
