Nashville Is Hosting A Free Japanese-Inspired Cherry Blossom Festival In April
Pink Cherry Blossoms will be everywhere.
When spring rolls around, you bet we are going to spend most of the days outside embracing the sun since Mother Nature has not been on her A-game recently. To kick off the spring season, Nashville might be one of the best places to celebrate it. This event in Nashville this April will embrace the new season and celebrate the Japanese culture all in one.
The Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival is back for another year and it's celebrating everything and Japanese culture.
These specific trees take over the city this time of year and the best way to experience them is to go to this popular event.
These trees represent the friendship between Japan and the United States, according to the National Park Service. The festival is completely free to visit and experience.
Throughout the day, there will be many events including a cosplay contest, a drumming ceremony and even a traditional tea ceremony.
You'll have the chance to dress up in sumo wrestler costumes and go head-to-head with your friend to see who will come out on top.
You'll be able to spot the festival from miles away because every year you can see the thousands of people surrounding the Public Square Park in.
You're encouraged to dress in your favorite cosplay outfit to really get the full experience of the festival.
Throughout the day you'll see authentic Japanese performances and get a taste of the culture.
There will also be martial arts demonstrations so you might even pick up a few vital moves while you're here.
The event even has an event for your furry friend to attend. You can dress your pup up in all pink and walk in the Pups in Pink Parade at the festival. It's $15 to walk with your pet and the proceeds will go to the Nashville Humane Society.
You'll probablyafter shopping around at all the vendor booths. You'll be happy to hear that you'll have plenty of options to choose from.
There will be food trucks with sushi, ramen dishes, Seoul meals and even boba trucks.
This festival is completely free, but if you want to take home some Japanese goods or try out the food trucks, you'll probably want to bring your wallet along.
