A Beautiful Lavender Festival Is Coming To Austin This Spring & It's Free

Spending the day at a farmers market in Texas is the perfect pastime, especially during the spring season. Now, imagine spending the day there and enjoying lavender-themed activities while being surrounded by your favorite plant and its incredible aroma. This May, you can do exactly that at a lavender festival in Austin that's part of Texas Farmers Market at Lakeline's 10th Anniversary celebration.
On Saturday, May 30 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., you and your friends and family are invited out to Texas Farmers Market at Lakeline for their Lavender Festival.
The festival is one of many being thrown over the span of six months to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the market.
This, along withare two of the most highly anticipated events that they have planned. And we can totally see why!
At the, attendees will get to enjoy a lavender chef demo, learning about lavender distilling, making their own lavender sachets, and lavender face painting.
You'll want to squeeze in every last activity during the two hours the lavender fest will be held, after all, who knows when the next one will be!
If you're worried about having to pay a fee to attend, don't. This event, as well as all of their others, is free and open to the public.
The fest's vendor, Xanadu ACRES Lavender FARM, will have their lavender distiller in tow to demonstrate how they make their incredible essential oil.
If you love the smell of lavender just as much as we do, you don't want to miss out on learning what it takes to fill your home head-to-toe in it.
Their other vendor, From Maggie's Farm, will also be there to demonstrate and offer samples of deliciously edible lavender creations.
You can even leave the event with a lavender bouquet painted on your cheeks or a sachet to make your car, room or drawers smell even better.
