Texas truly has a culture of its own, and part of it comes from the fact that the state is able to respectfully celebrate cultures from all over the world. This time of year is practically reserved for German-inspired festivities, and you won't hear any complaints about that coming from our end. A German Christmas market in Austin is taking place early next month, and it's going to be one for the books!

On Saturday, December 7 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. the German-Texan Heritage Society is hosting its annual German-Texan Christmas Market.

This will be the 24th year they will be putting on the event, and each year it gets even better than the last.

The one-day event will take place at the German Free School with the decor, vendors and more set up throughout its gardens.

The German-Texan Christmas Market will have shopping, eats, drinks and much more. Some of which are coming directly from Erzgebirge, an East-German region.

Authentic pyramids, Schwibbogen, smokers, candles, handblown and hand-carved ornaments are just some of the items that'll be up for sale on this magical day.

Now, what everyone has been waiting for, the eats and drinks. German sausages, sauerkraut, and pretzels will be some of the meals up for grabs, and their beer hall will have a variety of beer and wine.

If you're not from the Austin area or live too far away to drive up for the city's German-Texan Christmas market, Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio will all be having their own version of a German-inspired Christmas market this year.

Get your lederhosen ready and brush up on your German ASAP! These markets will be here before we know it.
