A New 55,000-Sq-Ft Rock Climbing Spot Is Coming To North Austin Soon
They'll have 65-foot-tall rope climbing walls.
Crux Climbing Center is a favorite among Austinites, and it's easy to see why. They have so much to do to get your blood pumping including, of course, massive rock climbing walls. Next year, Austin's Crux Climbing Center is opening a new location in Round Rock to give those in the area a chance to come and see what the gym is all about.
In an Instagram post earlier this week, Crux Climbing Center announced that the newest addition to the gym's family would be opening mid-2021 right off of I-35 in Round Rock.
Their newest center will be approximately 55,000 square feet and bring with it 65-foot-tall rope climbing walls, bouldering terrain, a yoga studio, spa-quality locker rooms, and more.
The gym will, of course, feature areas to get your cardio and weight-lifting in as well. On the off chance that you don't want to put your rock climbing skills to the test, you're free to challenge yourself on the many machines.
There's no place quite like Crux Climbing Center in the Lone Star State, and we're thrilled that there'll be yet another one to get our exercise on at.
If you're familiar with the gym then the news of an additional one being in the Austin area is probably enough to get you excited, if not, keep reading!
If you're interested in joining the gym and giving it a try before their new one opens, then you'll be pleased to know that their rates are pretty affordable.
A one-month paid-in-full membership is just $95 and a great option if you're not ready to commit any longer than that.
They also have a monthly drafting membership for $78 where the amount is pulled from your bank account each month. This membership requires a $35 initiation fee but no cancellation fee if you decide you're not feeling it. How sweet!
Finally, there's a one-year paid-in-full membership for $770 that saves you a whopping $160.
What's especially nice about the last two options is that if you're traveling and know you won't get enough bang for your buck, you can freeze your membership for just $5.
Day passes are also available for purchase as well as some other options you can check out here.
Their website has everything you need to know about what you'll be getting out of being a member at Crux Climbing Center. Which, take it from us, is a lot.
We can't wait for the Round Rock location to finally open next year, with how manywe'll definitely need to be !
