Austin Is Getting A Brand New Massive Outdoor Amphitheater This Fall (PHOTOS)
It is the Live Music Capital of the World, after all.
If you've ever been to a concert in Austin, chances are, it's been at one of the same three venues. There's nothing wrong with that, but it is always nice to have options and, the bigger those options are, the better. This fall, Austin is getting a new outdoor amphitheater that's unlike any other venue in the city, and we can hardly wait!
An exact date for the opening of Waterloo Greenway’s Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park has yet to be announced, but we do know it'll be ready for business sometime this fall.
*The amphitheater will be able to accommodate 5,000 people, which means this new spot will be giant.
It was designed by Thomas Phifer and Partners and is unique from any other venue in Austin, in more than one way.
The amphitheater is currently being built directly into the landscape of Waterloo Park, which is creative for the new outdoor performance space.
Because of this, you'll be able to access the stage when it's not being used for concerts, or performances of any other kind.
Waterloo Greenway is partnering with C3 Presents and Live Nation Entertainment to ensure incredible performers will be taking the stage once it's fully complete.
Now that's a collaboration we're excited to see!
Austin is the Live Music Capital of the World, so it makes sense that something this big is coming to the city.
always take place in the fall, so it looks like we could be expecting tons of around that time this year.
We can hardly wait to see the finished product, and witness performance after performance on the massive stage.
